Why Do Banks Lend Money to Wealthy Elite Consumers for their Life Insurance Premiums?

Can we learn and prosper from Premium Finance Strategies? One realization I’ve come to is that banks primarily aim to profit from the loans they provide, including those extended to wealthy individuals for life insurance premiums.

Insurance companies that accept this type of arrangement typically seek several factors:
– The consumer must have skin in the game; no 100% financing.
– The amount financed and the client’s participation should equal at least 90% of the guideline premiums.
– The lender must demonstrate an exit strategy within a reasonable timeframe, meaning the product sold needs to perform.

However, I have concerns. When a bank exits with a substantial loan from the contract around year 15, it often leaves the contract in a precarious position. At that point, banks are no longer invested; they have made their profits and move on to the next deal. This structure primarily benefits the bank, not our clients.

What if we could leverage this structure to benefit the client and eliminate the bank’s involvement? Lending money is profitable, and banks have known this for a long time. We are on the brink of a significant restructuring of insurance contracts. I invite you to schedule a 20–30-minute discussion to explore potential collaboration on case design for today’s insurance industry.
